When Is A Blessing, A Blessing, A Blessing……..
The answer is when it involves a gathering of the
Family. Now, I mean the WHOLE
family. This past week, we celebrated
our Granddaughter, Alyssa’s graduation from Medical school. That, of course, is a terrific reason for a
celebration, and she retains her position on the pedestal upon which all of our
children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren
have been duly placed, by us, of course.
But what constitutes a “multiple BLESSING”? It is absolutely overwhelming, when such a gathering includes “all” of our
children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at one gathering and
simultaneously. Enhanced by the presence
of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends,
seldom seen but always missed, it was a communion of the scattered, all of whom
made extraordinary effort to attend and share.
For those of you who found it impossible to attend, you were
all there in our hearts and
thoughts.
Thank you all for helping us celebrate, and ……
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at
your
back. May the sun shine warm upon your
face, the rains
fall soft upon your fields
and, until we meet again, may God
hold
you in the palm of his hand.
